After working for several years in the pet care industry I’m finally creating a forum for forward-thinking business owners to share new ideas, concepts and directions in marketing, business, and all things dog!
I don’t know about you, but owning your own business can be lonely. Before starting happytails, I worked at Jafra Cosmetics, a large company where I enteracted with at least 50 people each day. While I certainly don’t want to return (Nothing against Jafra, it’s a great company) I do miss the interaction and exchange of ideas. Now I’m lucky if I talk to 5 people per day. The goal of this "blog" is not just for me to blabber on, but to have an exchange of ideas to compensate for the situation most of us are in- small businesses that require lots of work, but not too much opportunity to interact with other professionals.
I’m sure many of you are avid readers and contributors of Wholesalepet.com’s message board. This is by no means intended to replace or compete. While that board is used to share info on excess inventory, locating a certain SKU etc. this blog will be available to share higher level business concepts, strategies, tips and tricks. And of course the fact that you are reading this we can only assume that you’re interested in happytails . We will also use this forum to exchange ideas about our products, new innovations in ingredients, new concepts, answer your questions and more.
Here’s a little about me:
An eight-year veteran of the “human” health and beauty industry, Paxton conceived the happytails brand and oversees the development, production, sales and marketing of all its products. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from California State University Fullerton; a master’s degree in international business from Pepperdine University (
Malibu, CA); a certificate in aromatherapy from Pacific Institute of Aromatherapy; and is studying for a master certification in Herbology from the Global Institute for Alternative Medicine.
